FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway equipment, namely, to railroad ACS and telemetry hardware and be used for traffic control. Variable voltage is fed into track line on one end and received at opposite end. Note here that feed end actual current is compared with threshold current of occupancy, while receiving end actual voltage is compared with threshold voltage of clearing. Occupancy current threshold exceeded by actual current, track section is considered occupied; if current voltage exceeds threshold clearing voltage, track clearing is registered. Clearing voltage threshold is taken to be fixed voltage of receiving end in occupancy multiplied by marginal factor. Occupancy current threshold is taken to be feed end current on applying standard shunt at dry ballast at the point located at the distance allowing recording receiving end voltage before the train runs by the point of feed end instruments connection with due allowance for train tolerable speed.
