FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: lightning protection device of overhead transmission line includes support with isolating cross beam to which the wire is attached, and lightning protection element; isolating cross beam is made of one support isolator receiving tension loads, and one support isolator receiving compression loads to the connection point of which between each other the wire is attached. At that, the other end of support isolator is attached to the support above the attachment point to that post of the other end of support isolator, and support isolator represents lightning protection element made in the form of excess-voltage suppressor equipped with the device of explosive cartridge type for releasing signal blinker when excess-voltage suppressor fails.
EFFECT: simplifying the construction and improving lightning protection of overhead transmission line.
