FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises clamping the billets in centers or by centered chuck using automatic balancing device for turning. To improve performances, journal, or journals, is turned to preset size for extra process modular device to be fitted thereon for automatic balancing. Combine module, thus produced, is used to turn other surface of said billet. Proposed device comprises body with balancing chamber fitted on unbalanced shaft, said chamber being filled with fluid and balancing weights arranged therein. Note here that said body is made up of symmetric split flange with hub that has central bore. Said hub supports the disk. Note here that flange and disk have, at least, three radial cylindrical channels with diametre varying from 10 to 20 mm communicated by concentric annular grooves to make integral balancing chamber filled with fluid. Said radial channels accommodate precision balancing weights secured on body edges by flexible links and interconnected by said links. Note here that ring if fitted on body PD to tightly closed common opening of radial channels.
