FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in usage of experimental-calculated criterion in form of limiting integral characteristic of vibration resistance in working space of lathe. For development of lathe optimally balanced by dynamic and efficiency criterions there is determined a limited integral characteristic of vibration resistance by optimisation of a source flexible system of a lathe of the basic model with replacement of non-stable basic machine modules. Values of limited integral characteristic of vibration resistance are successively determined at lathe machining a standard rigid work piece where in working space there is facilitated dynamic balance for vibration resistance and robustness of a flexible system. Further, a value of limited integral characteristic of vibration resistance for a developed lathe model with the optimised flexible system is determined at milling the specified flexible work piece, on base of which there is determined nominal power of an engine of main motion of the lathe depending on effective power of cutting. Also there is determined amount of additional cuts of a cutting tool at processing a flexible work piece according to reduced ratios.
EFFECT: diversification of base model of lathe at processing flexible work piece.
