FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for thermal treatment of parts of automatic coupling consists in inductive heating shank end of case of automatic coupling and in successive cooling case of automatic coupling. The shank end of the case of the automatic coupling is inductive heated at temperature 890-940°C during 5-30 minutes. Further, the case of the automatic coupling is cooled with flow of water circulating in a closed circuit during 0.4-2.5 minutes.
EFFECT: raised hardness and cyclic durability of material of parts of automatic coupling, particularly of shank end of automatic coupling.
