FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of preparing zinc seleno-telluride nanopowder with formula ZnSe1-xTex relates to production of scintillation materials and can be used in nanotechnologies associated with use of nanopowder. Zinc seleno-telluride powder is prepared through deposition from gas phase in a stream of helium. The evaporation source has the formula ZnSe1-xTex (x=0.08-0.12) and is at temperature 1130-1190°C. Temperature in the deposition zone is equal to 110-150°C and the helium flow rate is between 4000 and 5000 ml/min. Zinc seleno-telluride nanopowder with formula ZnSe1-xTex (x=0.02-0.03) and main fraction particle size of 2-10 nm is obtained.
EFFECT: obtaining zinc seleno-telluride nanopowder with formula ZnSe1-xTex (x=0,02-0,03), having luminescence in the wavelength range 600-640 nm.
