FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the following stages: (a) intercalation of graphite to produce intercalated graphite compounds; (b) processing of specified intercalated graphite compounds 5-15% with a solution of phosphoric acid; (c) drying of intercalated graphite compounds treated in compliance with the stage (b); (d) thermal treatment of compounds dried in compliance with the stage (e) for foaming to produce particles of thermally expanded graphite; and (f) rolling of thermally expanded graphite particles to produce foil. The produced graphite foil is characterised with ablation degree under impact of air atmosphere at 600°C for 8 hours, which does not exceed 8%, and under impact of air atmosphere at 800°C for 2 hours - does not exceed 50%.
EFFECT: simplified method of making foil with antioxidant properties, reduced costs for its production and improved antioxidant properties in air medium.
