SUBSTANCE: base (1) - steam generator is joined by a cord (2) to an iron (3) or a smoothening brush. The base (1) comprises a cavity (15) to lay the cord, with an oblong shape and stretching along the base (1) periphery in a length. A cavity (15) is provided with a hole (15A) for insertion of the cord (2). The cavity (15) is defined with a case (16), stretching in length to continue the hole (15A), and has a cross section suitable to let through and hold the cord (2) in the form of a single loop stretched in length in the cavity (15).
EFFECT: reduced dimensions of iron, improved protection of cord.
