FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: wind-driven power plant with wind screen mechanism for blades includes support of rotor having vertical rotation axis, traverses, turning blades installed with possibility of changing their position relative to wind direction and made in the form of upper and lower semi-blades connected to each other by means of shaft the rotation axis of which is parallel to vertical rotation axis of rotor of the plant, as well as control unit of the plant. Wind screen mechanism for blades is made in the form of kinematic assemblies installed on ends of traverses, each of which includes shell-type element, in the inner cavity of which the shaft of semi-blades is arranged by means of two bearings. Shell-type element is equipped with two side brackets located in the plane perpendicular to shaft rotation axis of semi-blades, and fixing devices in the form of magnetic system, each of which includes two blocks of constant magnets lying opposite to each other. One block of magnets is fixed on side bracket of shell-type element, and the other one is fixed on the base of semi-blade.

EFFECT: improving protective efficiency of blades against failure at storm wind at maintaining operating reliability of the plant at normal force of wind by using the blade protection mechanism with magnetic system.
