FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed machine comprises carousel with steel moulds, Rotary support with carousel drive mounted on column and incorporating friction pair. Steel mould heater is made up of two low-pressure injection gas burners arranged below steel moulds and one injection gas burner with six independent mixers arranged above steel moulds. Parting sand is applied by two sprayers fitted on stands. Steel moulds are cooled down by four axial-flow fans arranged on bracket above filled steel ingot top plane. Note here that two of them are inclined at 45° to top plane of steel moulds. Ingots are removed by tipping.
EFFECT: simple design, lower power consumption.
