FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for emergency evacuation mainly for lowering people from buildings with brake mechanism of mechanical action. Manual rescue device contains fixation unit (1) and fastened to it safety cord (2) and brake mechanism. The other end of cord is supplied with carabiner (3). Brake mechanism is supplied with guide rollers and is located on cord (2) between fixation unit (1) and carabiner (3). Fixation unit is made in form of bracelet. Safety cord is tied into sleeve. Brake mechanism is fastened to bracelet (1) by means of tube and is enclosed in provided with stop lever (13) case (5) with inlet (6) and outlet (7) holes. Loose end of safety cord (2) is successively passed through tube and connected to it inlet case hole, is wound on fixed inside case ratchet-wheel (9) with brake, rounds immovable and pinch rollers and is brought out of case through outlet hole (7). Pinch rollers (14) are fixed on stop lever (13) in such a way that if said lever is pressed on cord (2) is slowed down between them and immovable roller (12).
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce dimensions and simplify device construction, preserving reliability of work and ensuring high rate of evacuation.
