FIELD: life saving equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to emergency evacuation units and is used mainly for people descend from the buildings with a mechanical brake assembly. An emergency evacuation cartridge unit contains a body 1 with attached reserve safety rope 2 with a carbine 12 and a brake assembly with guide rollers 8. The body comprises a rectangular panel 4 whereon flexible rods are fixed along the periphery of longer sides. A safety rod 2 is thrown over the rods in a zigzag manner. The brake assembly represents a spring-assisted stop rod 5 with a pressure roller 7. Free end of the safety rod 2 is reeled around built-in ratched wheel 9, thrown over the fixed 10 and pressure 7 rollers and is delivered from the body through an outlet 11. The pressure roller 7 is fixed on the block lever 5 so that the lever 2 when pressed is broken between the latter and the fixed rollers 10.

EFFECT: invention allows downsizing the unit and providing higher evacuation safety.
