FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of ferrous metals, particularly, to enhancement of structural steel mechanical properties. To up the magnitudes of impact resistance and ductility without loss in strength the part is subjected to quenching and high tempering. Then, this part is processed for 35 minutes with pulsating gas flow at the rate of 25-30 m/s, oscillation frequency of 600-1000 Hz and variable sound pressure of 80-95 dB.
EFFECT: higher impact resistance and ductility without loss in strength.
