FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: filtration of combustible gaseous or vapour mixture is performed through inert porous body with equivalent diametre of threshold channel, which exceeds critical diametre (do>dcr). Porous body has variable cross sections the sizes of which increase in the direction of combustible mixture flow, including sections of quasistabilisation and stable autostabilisation of combustion wave, the surface areas of which meet the following equations: Fqs>Fas, Fqs=Q/(εvqs), Fas=Q/(εvs), where Fqs - section area of quasistabilisation of combustion wave, cm2; Fas - section area of stable autostabilisation of combustion wave, cm2; vqs - filtration speed of combustible mixture in section Fqs, cm/s; Vgs - filtration speed of combustible mixture in section Fas, cm/s; Q - flow rate of combustible mixture at the inlet of inert porous body, cm3/s; ε - porosity.
EFFECT: use of inert porous body with coarse-porous charge, which has two sections, allowed to considerably decrease hydraulic resistance of medium and to perform combustion process of combustible mixtures at higher speed and power.
