FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: according to first version of invention formation of scale on surface of heating device at least in beginning of heating cycle influences temperature of water measured near said device for water heating, which facilitates detection of scale formation. According to the second version there is additionally considered the fact of formation of scale on surface of the heating device, which does not influence temperature of water measured at sufficient distance from the said water heating device.
EFFECT: reduced expenditures for operation and maintenance of water heater.
