FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing hydrosol based on colloidal nanoparticles of manganese dioxide for forming a coating of electrochemical peroxide-sensitive sensors is realised via a reaction for comproportionation of permanganate ions MnO4- and Mn2+ ions in aqueous solution, in which counterions and concentration of salts are such that a stable sol of colloidal nanoparticles of MnO2 form, which involves mixing different volumes of the aqueous solution of sodium or potassium permanganate and aqueous solution of manganese dihydrophosphate or acetate at stoichiometric ratio of concentrations and room temperature.

EFFECT: simple method of producing highly sensitive peroxide-sensitive electrochemical sensors and biosensors based on a stable aqueous sol of a manganese dioxide mediator.
