FIELD: personal use articles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a device for production of hot beverages by way of brewing a water-extractable substance consisting of separate particles and represented by the beverage powder. The device (1) contains a water heater (6), hot brewing water delivery appliances (5) and a brewing zone (24). The transportation tool shaped as a worm shaft (10) having at least one helical blade (13) is used for the substance transportation through the brewing zone (24) and is partly enclosed by the casing (18). Delivery of the substance into and from the brewing zone (24) is done in one and the same direction. The device has an expression zone (25) positioned downstream the brewing zone (24) where the substance is compressed in the axial direction for the extract expression. The worm shaft (10) of the device (1) passes along at least the brewing zone (24) and the expression zone (25), the helical blade (13) pitch in the expression zone (25) being less than in the brewing zone (24) which enables free variation of the volume of the beverage portion being prepared within a wide range.
EFFECT: preparation of hot beverages from powder.
