SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for oligomerisation of ethylene. Described is a method for oligomerisation of ethylene using reactor equipment in which starting material containing monomer(s), a catalyst, a cocatalyst and a solvent, is fed into the reactor equipment through a first pipe, and the reaction product, unreacted monomer(s), catalyst, cocatalyst and solvent are unloaded from the reactor equipment through a second pipe, characterised by that the first pipe, the second pipe, reactor equipment and/or other equipment used in the oligomerisation method is washed with a fraction of the reaction product obtained using said oligomerisation method or the corresponding preceding method, before and/or after implementing said oligomerisation method, wherein the fraction of the reaction product is heavier than the fraction of linear alpha-olefins (LAO) containing a C₁₂-C₁₈ product.

EFFECT: method for oligomerisation without washing apparatus which are difficult and expensive to remove.
