FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed detector comprises laser and ultrasound generator incorporating first diaphragm irradiated by laser and having preset frequency characteristics and coat on, at least, part of its surface irradiated by laser and able of generating ultrasound vibrations. Note here that detector reveals defects by ultrasound oscillations generated by first diaphragm in direction of articled analysed. Note also that detector incorporates also second diaphragm to come vibrating under action of ultrasound oscillations reflected from analysed article. Laser may irradiate second diaphragm and receive laser radiation reflection therefrom. Besides, it comprises data processing and displaying appliances.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and better reproducibility.
