FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high-selectivity solid-state catalysts. Electrochemical interaction between platinum electrodes and alkaline metal hydroxide solution is initiated, solution concentration making 2-6 mol/l at cyclic variation of electrode polarity at frequency of 30-80 Hz and current density of 1 A/cm2 and at 30-35°C.
EFFECT: platinum colloidal solutions with particle sizes of 10-500 nm.
