FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: parameters of a modulated signal (AM and FM) are calculated from an array of discrete data via Fourier and Hilbert transformation. The following are simultaneously measured: amplitude modulation (AM) depth - the peak value a given frequency band, frequency deviation - the peak value in a given frequency range, AM depth - the mean-square value in a given frequency band, frequency deviation - the mean-square value in a given frequency band, carrier frequency (central frequency), frequency of the AM and/or FM modulating signal, nonlinear distortion coefficient of the AM and/or FM modulating signal.

EFFECT: simple hardware component of the device with broadening of functional capabilities at the same time.
