FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic survey and can be used to detect objects of ground equipment. Seismic signal excited by mobile object of ground equipment is recorded, pre-filtered and amplified. Amplified seismic signal is sampled at a given frequency. Sampled signal in current second time windows is subjected to fast discrete Fourier transform and filtered by digital filters in low-frequency and high-frequency bands. Time readings are restored using inverse discrete Fourier transform, averaged and smoothed on duration of current time windows. Current samples are used as samples of control voltage with automatic gain control (AGC). Current levels of AGC gain are compared with statistically valid value of detection threshold. Crossing of the level of current readings of the AGC gain of the detection threshold from top to bottom, taking into account the inertia of automatic gain control, is a sign of detecting a mobile object of ground equipment.
EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting mobile objects in the sensitivity zone of the seismic sensor.
