SUBSTANCE: presence of a neighbouring cell is detected, a measurement report containing the cell identifier is received; a request containing the cell identifier is sent to a server, wherein the request queries the IP address of the neighbouring cell node, and receives a response to the request containing the IP address of the neighbouring node. In another version, a request containing a cell identifier is sent to other nodes.
EFFECT: improved handover of user equipment from an initial cell node to a target cell node.
