SUBSTANCE: working area of open pit in plan is divided into sections; cut-off sectors within the limits of which the sections of temporarily non-working flank are formed are separated; and development of sections of open pit working area to final depth of the stage is carried out with working platforms the edges of projections of which are oriented in plan with offset in relation to the centre of open-pit field; formation within the limits of sections of working area of control pillars to control the total volume of preservation of overburden within the development stage.
EFFECT: lower current overburden ratio at the staged development of deposits of oval shape in plan owing to providing the development within the order till its final depth, without beginning to spread the section of temporarily non-working flank in it.
