FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, oncology, and can be used for combined photon-neutron therapy of malignant tumours. For this purpose, a tumour is irradiated with photons and fast neutrons. A photon stage of the radiation therapy is performed 5 times a week at single basic dose 2-4 Gy to total basic dose 48-60 isoGy. A stage of the neutron therapy is implemented on a neutron generator with energy 10.5 MeV at single basic dose 0.6 Gy by two equal fractions every 3 to 4 h at total basic dose 2.4 Gy for 8 irradiation sessions. A procedure pause is used for a laser therapy session through a quartz optical path λ=0.63 mcm at output power 40 mWt for 3-4 minutes.
EFFECT: method allows optimising and providing higher clinical effectiveness in the patients suffering malignant growths, reducing length of radiation therapy, lowering frequency and intensity of radiation reactions and complications.
