FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment intended for longitudinal cutting of strip material and may be used for production of wire by fan method. Shears comprises two parallel shafts mounted on foundation to support disks secured thereon. Disk rib is provided with annular groove made over entire rid width. Slopes of said grooves form acute angle with relevant lateral side of disk. Nitride titanium coat is applied on disk lateral surfaces on section adjoining cutting edge.
EFFECT: higher quality of shearing.
