FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for fabrication of pressure tight flange connection consists in preliminary welding at least one metal pad to end of each of flanges. Also, welding is performed along internal dimension of the pad. The dimension of the pad is chosen from a condition: internal dimension of the pad is bigger, than diametre of each of connected flanges. As material of pads there is used metal welded with metal of flanges fabrication and of plasticity higher, than plasticity of flanges material. Two flanges are interconnected by fixing connection, while projecting pads over flanges surfaces are welded to each other.
EFFECT: increased service life of connection at facilitation of its pressure tightness.
