FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of regeneration of thermally aged storage catalytic neutraliser of nitrogen oxides, which is implemented on transport vehicle; the above neutraliser has the main compounds of strontium or barium, or compounds of strontium and barium on carrier containing ceric oxide, and besides, it contains compounds of strontium and/or barium with carrier, which were formed as a result of thermal ageing, and it is used for neutralisation of exit gases (EG) of transport vehicle with engine operating on lean mixtures. Strontium and/or barium compounds with carrier during systematic operation of transport vehicle are decomposed by means of treatment with gas mixture containing carbon dioxide, if necessary, water vapour, and if necessary, nitrogen oxides. Oxygen content in gas mixture during decomposition process does not exceed air excess coefficient λ=1.

EFFECT: partial reduction of activity of thermally aged storage catalytic neutralisers.
