FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: according to the data from Visante OCT optical coherent tomograph, a depth of an anterior chamber in mm and a maximum height of a suprachorioid space in an anterior eye area in mm are measured before surgery and on the first postoperative day, and the parameters are related to derive a cilio-choroidal detachment prediction value which is calculated by formula; and if the related value is equal to 1, a development of cilio-choroidal detachment is predicted, and the value equal to 0 shows the absence. where F is the cilio-choroidal detachment prediction value; p0 is a pre-operative depth of the anterior chamber, mm; p is a post-operative depth of the anterior chamber, mm; d0 is a pre-operative height of the suprachorioid space, mm; d is a post-operative height of the suprachorioid space, mm; |…| - a module sign (an absolute value).
EFFECT: method enables early prediction of potential development of cilio-choroidal detachment following antiglaucomatous surgeries, and well-timed and adequate correction of post-operative treatment.
