FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the following stages: a) heating of rolled slab, b) slab rolling to the required strip thickness, c) strip cooling; at that, after cooling the strip, as a rule, has temperature which is over ambient temperature (T0); d) strip coiling, e) strip uncoiling, f) strip heating; g) strip cooling, and h) strip transportation; at that, before heating at stage f) the strip has the temperature which is higher than ambient temperature (T0); at that, the coil is in coiling unit during implementation of stage d), and in uncoiling unit during implementation of stage e), which is located at some distance from coiling unit, between stages d) and e) the strip is transported from coiling unit to uncoiling unit in heat insulated conditions.
EFFECT: economic manufacture of high-strength strips and strips with ultra-high strength with sufficient viscosities at common plant for coiling-uncoiling and transportation.
