FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: insert from chromium cast iron modified with nanodisperse powders of heat-resistant particles is obtained by die casting. Insert is heated to 50-300°C and installed into casting mould. Beat base is made by casting of steel modified with nanodisperse powders of pyrocarbon and (or) silicon oxide into casting mould. Modification of steel melt provides formation of castings with increased ductility. Projections and/or holes are made on the insert for its mechanical attachment to the base. After the casting the combined beats are subject to normalisation with further drawing.
EFFECT: reducing the probability of formation of hot cracks at hindered contraction and increasing strength properties of beats.
