FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in foundries in the manufacture of grinding beats for grinding brittle materials, such as coal. A method is proposed for increasing the wear resistance of hammer mill beaters, in which a wear-resistant material is placed on the working surface of the beater, elements of wear-resistant material are placed in the holes of a steel plate, the plate is heated, the elements are secured in the holes by impact on the areas around the holes, and the plate is welded to the working surface of the beater.
EFFECT: increasing the wear resistance of the working surface of the beater.
