SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, physiology. A pulmonary minute volume (PMV) is measured in doggers and gem cutters. A working musculoskeletal mass (M) is defined as a quotient of a value derived from subtraction of 5.9294 from the PMV divided by 0.2352. The required M converted in kg is derived from a product of a worker's body weight and a coefficient different for men and women.

EFFECT: method provides simplified, shorter evaluation process of the human musculoskeletal mass and wider application for assessment of workplaces with respect to working conditions.
