FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in order to implement the method for sorption treatment of waste water from dyes, the sorbent used is natural magnesium-containing material consisting of magnesium carbonate (51.62-52.84%) and magnesium hydroxide (46.13-47.28%), crushed to grain size of 0.5-3 mm. The degree of sorption of dyes from the waste water reaches 100% while stirring and phase contact for 20-30 minutes.
EFFECT: wide range of sorbents used in waste water treatment, milder conditions for preparing sorbents while maintaining high degree of purification from dyes.
