FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a method for producing magnetic sorbents for pathogen concentration with subsequent mass spectrometry. The method consists in oxidating 2.5 g FeSO4 dissolved in distilled water in the presence of a KOH solution, modifying polyglukin, forming a gel, grinding with extraction of fractions, activating with a solution of secondary sodium alkyl sulphate. In order to conduct the subsequent mass spectrometric analysis of the pathogens concentrated on magnetic sorbents, elution is therein conducted with a selected eluting buffer.
EFFECT: invention provides an effective sorbent with magnetic properties for pathogen concentration.
