SUBSTANCE: hook-up of hydride circuits (40, 40', 40") for coupling radio-frequency excitation signal (70) with quadrature coil (30) may be configured in one of at least two modes of coil from the group consisting of: (i) linear mode of I-channel wherein input arm (42) of I channel is excited without exciting input arm (44) of Q channel, (ii) linear mode of Q-channel wherein its input arm is excited without exciting input arm of I channel, (iii) quadrature mode wherein input arms of I- and Q-channels are excited with selected positive phase difference, and (iv) anti-quadrature mode wherein input arms of I- and Q-channels are excited with selected negative positive phase difference.
EFFECT: compensation of B1 variable field irregularity.
