FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: fuel catalytic heater for use in vehicle fuel system includes catalytic reactor, heater covering this reactor, control unit of electric heating temperature, control components that adjust the quantity of return fuel, and return pipeline for heated fuel. Catalytic reactor consists of metal body, catalytic package sealed in metal body, inlet and outlet tube connected with inner cavity of catalytic package. Inlet fuel tube is connected with the fuel pump output hose and outlet fuel tube is connected to engine main fuel pipeline. Return pipeline of heated fuel is connected between inlet tube of catalytic reactor and return pipeline primary designed for vehicle engine.
EFFECT: fuel catalytic heater provides complete fuel combustion and improves engine thermal effectiveness, allows decreasing fuel consumption of injector-type vehicle and carburettor-type vehicle, leads to reduction of hazardous substances content in vehicle exhaust gases.
