FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method of marking shinning and specular surfaces of articles (such as bottles, ampoules) using bar codes involves applying a two-dimensional bar code on a pre-deposited contrast diffusion-reflecting and non-shining underlayer which does not react with the bar code, and having dimensions greater than those of the two-dimensional bar code. Also, the chemical composition of the diffusion-reflecting underlayer prevents reaction with the bar code and its modification.
EFFECT: high reliability of reading bar codes from shinning and specular surfaces of articles.
