FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for electric arc welding of products from carbon and low-alloyed steels. The electrode coating contains the following components, in the given ratio, wt %: marble 20-45, fluorspar 2-18, ferrosilicon 5.5-8.0, ferromanganese 6.0-8.5, mineral alloy 22-48. The mineral alloy contains the following components in the given ratio, wt %: nepheline concentrate 10-52, sphene concentrate 5-55, marble 17-35, fluorspar 13-22. The mineral alloy may additionally contain one or more components selected from the group containing quartz, alumina, titanium dioxide, periclase and potash, in the amount of 6.9-40.0 wt % over 100%.
EFFECT: electrode coating makes it possible to ensure hydrogen content in melted metal of 0,2-0,9 cm3/100 g, to increase the relative elongation up to 33% and breaking strength up to 620 MPa with provision of impact value of 40-75 J at -60°C, and also to increase resistance of arc during welding.
