FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: at the pelletiser bottom there formed scull: wet charge is supplied to the pelletiser in two flows. The first of them is input into the compressed air flow forming a gas wet charge jet, a zone occupied with charge and zone free from charge are formed at the pelletiser bottom. Nucleation is done by charge sputtering by means of a gas wet charge jet directed to horizontal diameter of the disk and directed to slag lining charge-free zone so that dense layer of wet charge is obtained. The said dense layer of the wet charge is separated into nuclei in the form of wet charge briquettes. Scull is cleaned off pellets; charge of the second flow supplied to pellets forms pellets shell by nuclei after-pelletising. In this case, a dense layer of wet charge is directed into the zone occupied by the charge, and division of the said layer of the wet charge is carried out after it is out of the zone. The angle of attack of the gas wet charge jet to the horizontal diameter of the disk is maintained equal to 30-90 °.
EFFECT: increased strength of pellets and efficiency of the pelletiser.
