FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in a main drive power-supply system in all operation modes of an excavator, a DC local network arranged by a thyristor rectifier (20), a smoothing reactor (21) and an ionistor (25) is used. Output voltage in the DC local network is maintained continuously with using a control unit (19) which provides current limiting and controlled "smooth" charge of capacitors in a DC link when the system is actuated. A feedback in the DC voltage adjustment system is enabled by a voltage sensing device (22). In a recuperation mode, kinetic energy of movable masses will be transformed into electric energy by DC machines. While being charged, the capacitor accumulates electric energy which after completion of the recuperation process is used to motor operation. Voltage adjustment in the ionistor 25 varies with total recuperative drive currents that allow reducing its voltage fluctuation.
EFFECT: higher output performance.
