FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used in teaching process in teaching medical students, as well as for self-observation by people of their eye state. Plate from non-transparent material in which hole of small diameter is made is taken. In plate also made is a series of additional holes of different size in form of circle or regular polygon. Diameter of hole or diameter in inscribed in such hole circumference is less or equals 0.8 mm, diameter of hole or diameter of circumference described around such hole is larger or equals 0.1 mm. Holes are located at distance 10…15 mm from plate edge. Distance between holes is 10…15 mm or more. Plate is placed near one eye, the other eye is either closed or covered. Plate or slider is installed in such a way that hole in plate or slider was opposite central part of pupil. Patient looks through said hole at light background and makes observations. In case of self-observation patient takes turns in looking in holes of different diameters, approaching plate or slider to pupil nearly to contact and moving plate of slider away from pupil. At certain moments of time patient blinks.
EFFECT: method provides possibility of self-observation of eye state at different illumination and at different eye states.
