FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises cutting set of parts carried out by cutting tool in plate or stack of plates retained by clamps. Note here that cutting tool motion is controlled by control system. Data on points defining the shape of every part and positioning of said part in Cartesian X, Y axials are obtained. First stage of grouping the parts into at least one subgroup is carried out. Note here that every boxed subgroup is considered to make one part. Second stage of grouping said subgroups into at least one group is carried out. Note here that every boxed group is considered to make one part. Order of cutting is set proceeding from set subgroups and groups. Cutting is performed whereat every cutting tool moves from part to part according to set cutting order.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cutting.
