FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: laser device for measuring water flow rate has transmitting channel with diffraction-optical splitting of the laser beam and a receiving channel. The receiving channel has a focusing lens, a diaphragm, a photodiode and a preamplifier connected to a Doppler signal converter. The laser measuring device has a computer, and the receiving channel additionally includes a second diaphragm and a second photodiode with a preamplifier connected to a second Doppler signal converter. Outputs of the Doppler signal converter are connected to the computer.
EFFECT: minimising velocity measurement error caused by the boundary layer.
