FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use as a ship laser relative speed meter. The device contains two laser Doppler sensors, two Doppler signal converters and a computing device. The first sensor contains a laser emitter, a laser beam splitter based on a diffraction grating and a focusing lens, as well as a receiving lens and a photodetector, the output of which is connected to the input of the Doppler signal converter. The second sensor contains a laser emitter, a laser beam splitter based on a beam splitting prism and a focusing lens, as well as a receiving lens and a photodetector, the output of which is connected to the input of the second Doppler signal converter. The outputs of the Doppler signal converters are connected to the inputs of the computing device.
EFFECT: expansion of the functionality of the device, namely the measurement of longitudinal and transverse speed, as well as increase in the accuracy of measuring transverse speed.
