LASER SHIP SPEED METER Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01P3/36

Abstract RU 2708526 C1

FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device relates to the field of marine instrument making. Laser ship speed meter comprises a transmitting channel including a semiconductor module with a diffraction-optical division of a laser beam and comprising a semiconductor module, a diffraction grating, a first lens, a spatial filter, a second lens, and a receiving channel including a focusing lens, a diaphragm, a photodiode and a preamplifier connected to a Doppler signal converter, a computing device, wherein the receiving channel further comprises a second diaphragm and a second photodiode with a preamplifier connected to the second Doppler converter, note here that outputs of Doppler signal converters are connected to computing device. Said transmitting and receiving channels are arranged in sealed housing equipped with protective window in housing lower base. In addition, laser ship speed meter comprises "n" transmitting and receiving channels arranged in "n" sealed bodies, respectively, installed on both sides of ship, respectively, in fore, aft and central parts of ship, wherein sealed housings with transmitting and receiving channels are also arranged in pairs in vertical plane of ship hull, wherein one sealed housing with transmitting and receiving channel is arranged above waterline, and the other in ship bottom in telescopic device, semiconductor modules arranged in sealed housings installed above waterline, are made for operation in visible wave band, and the semiconductor modules arranged in sealed housings installed in the ship bottom are made in the blue-green wave band, the computing device includes a unit for correlation processing of signals from "n" transmitting and receiving channels, computing device by its corresponding inputs is also connected to outputs of ship sensors measuring angles of keel and beating pitching, vertical components of velocity vector, laser navigation speed meter includes a unit for classification of the spectrum of received signals, connected by its input to outputs of transmitting and receiving channels, unit for selecting operating modes of the device, connected by its input to the output of the spectrum classification unit of the received signals, and by its output to the input of the computing device.

EFFECT: device relates to the field of marine instrument-making and is intended for use as a relative and absolute lag, as well as a current velocity meter for near-surface and deep-water investigations, mainly at shallow depths.
