FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method is realised using a device having a visible spectrum television camera or an infrared television camera, a beam splitter, series-connected first image pixel-by-pixel reading unit, pixel recording switch, memory for storing the superimposed image and second image pixel-by-pixel reading unit. Light flux reflected from the objects under analysis is formed into separate images which are then recorded into a common image. Mutual alignment of the objects is determined from the common image. The light flux is first split into two streams. A visible spectrum image is formed from the first stream and an infrared spectrum image is formed from the second stream. Pixels of the first and second images are read and alternately recorded into the memory for storing the common image for said pixels. Pixels of the first and second images are successively recorded on odd rows and pixels of the second and first images are successively recorded on even rows.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining mutual alignment of image fragments and possibility of calculating position parameters thereof.
