FIELD: agriculture, in particular, monitoring of agricultural lands for detecting of narcotic plants in environmental medium.
SUBSTANCE: method involves producing underlying surface image in the form of dependence of spectral luminosity I(x,y) upon spatial coordinates; dividing image into mosaic patches; calculating fractional dimension and auto-correlative function of signal of image for each patch; comparing with reference; registering image in green band of visible spectrum in two mutually orthogonal polarization reception channels; calculating mean standard of image signal in each channel; calculating pixel ratios of I1(x,y)/I2(x,y) of images with larger mean to lower mean and forming synthesized image matrix of said ratios; singling-out by spatial differentiation methods contours on synthesized image; calculating numerical characteristics of signal of image fragments inside singled-out contours; judging belonging of image fragment to given kind of plant on the basis of fractional dimensions coefficient values and width of auto-correlative function of signal.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for reliable identification of plant kinds.
