FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: device and method are proposed to select a cell for a home cell or a private network in a mobile communication system, in which user's equipment (UE) determines a candidate cell by measurement of a service cell and neighbouring cells, receives an indicator, which identifies a home cell or a private network, in system information from the candidate cell, determines, whether the candidate cell is included into a list of home cells or private networks, established in UE, and the candidate cell is selected, if the candidate cell is included into this list of home cells or private networks.
EFFECT: improved procedure of cell selection.
