SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a method and a device for control of strip position. The device comprises at least one sensor to detect strip bulging in direction across the longitudinal direction of the strip and/or to detect deviation of the strip from the specified position of the strip, and at least one correction roller with a shifting device for automated installation of at least one correction roller, at the same time at least one shifting device of one roller is electromechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic shifting device, an electronic control device, moreover, receives signals of a strip stabiliser and/or a device for cold layer thickness measurement, and/or a device for strip edges scanning, and on their basis it controls setting of at least one correction roller. Also a method is described to adjust the strip position.
EFFECT: minimised bulging and/or strip position.
